It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Morgan Llewellyn (Late RWF & RRW), who passed away on Thursday 12th June, at the age of 87.

Dai served for 23 years with both The Royal Welch Fusiliers (RWF) and The Royal Regiment of Wales (RRW), finishing his career as the Regimental Sergeant Major of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Wales. He is fondly remembered from his time as the CSM of B Company in Osnabruck, a fearsome man who was held in great respect by all who served with him. His service saw him undertake tours in Germany (Berlin & Osnabruck), Cyprus, Hong Kong, and Northern Ireland.

After his career, Dai moved to Llanharan in the 1980s, where he became a tremendous and respected coach to the senior teams at Llanharan RFC.
Dai was blessed with the support of his wife, Peggy, and his loving family. He was the immensely proud father of two Welsh Rugby Internationals, Gareth and Glyn, and grandfather of Max Llewellyn (Gloucester and Wales).

The funeral service will be held at Coychurch Crematorium in Bridgend, followed by a wake at Llanharan RFC.

The date and time of the funeral will be announced when known.

Our sincere condolences are with his wife Peggy, his sons Glyn and Gareth, and all of his family and friends at this difficult time.
