All Comrades Association Branches.
BATTLEFIELD TOUR 14th – 17th JUNE 2024 TO THE BRITISH NORMANDY MEMORIAL AND THE 80th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF EVRECY
The Association has been invited by the Mayor of Evrecy to their 80th Anniversary Commemoration of the Bombing of the town of Evrecy prior to the subsequent Battle. On the same tour we could also visit the new Normandy Memorial, overlooking Gold Beach, to those who lost their lives whilst under British Command during the Second World War and in particular the D Day Landings.
We will travel to Caen by coach where we will stay for three nights (all accommodation will be booked as ROOM ONLY) and visit the Battle Fields and Memorial.
We have less to cover on this trip than previous tours so we will be able to take a more leisurely approach. The final itinerary has not been decided yet but those booked on the trip will be kept up to date. The cost of this memorable tour is £250 per person. This is for a shared room – no single rooms available. Places cannot be reserved without the deposit being paid.
To reserve places on this trip please send in your list of names along with a deposit of £50 per person, (Branch Secretaries should have the necessary booking pro-forma), to RHQ Wrexham as soon as possible. Further payment can be made by instalment but must be paid in full by Friday 26th April 2024
We will require full name (as on passport), date of birth and passport number early in 2024.
Passports must have at least 6 months to expiry date on departure so must be valid until end Dec 2024. In addition, as we are not a member of the EU, everyone will need Travel Insurance to cover these dates.
