There was a message placed on the Denbigh and District Site last night stating that Eddie Roberts 12 has passed away. It said they were informed by his daughter. Most of us know that he never had any children so I am certain it would have been his niece Not sure of anything else at the moment but I will post anything as and when I get it. Baz

WOW what a shock!

Eddie was a good friend before, during and after Hong Kong tour.
Haven’t had any contact with him for a very long time but his passing
still saddens me greatly.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Eddie.

He was personable, good humoured, had a likeable nature and was one of the Regiment’s characters.

Eddie, you are gone but never forgotten.

I had a message yesterday and was totally shocked by the news.

Eddie was a great character, not only in RWF but also as Secretary of the Denbigh Branch and will be missed.

I was lucky enough to be posted to the Depot Crickhowell the same time as Eddie God did we have some fun and laughter in the Cpls Mess. He was such a likeable character who would help anyone if he possibly could. Rest in Peace Old Friend. Now you and Liz are together again God Bless and RIP. We will never forget you. Braz

Sad news indeed. Always enjoyed 12’s company and chats when he was a member of the Bn Orderly Room. He was a great supporter of RWFCA and always had time to talk at the Reunion. A great character and loyal Royal Welchman who will be missed. RIP 12.
