Sadly, another member of the Forum has passed away. Richard Laughton (rloughton), was from Milton, Ontario Canada. He joined the Forum in May 2018.

Although he wasn't a very active member, Richard did some research on those who served in the Great War and were not identified at the time of their burial or concentration. He reported several soldiers in 'unknown' graves for possible commemoration to the CWGC. Among them three Royal Welch Fusiliers. These can be found on the Great War Forum at: https://www.greatwarforum.org/topic/255849-royal-welsh-fusilier-2nd-lt-8-may-1916/

He also had a Wordpress site, Unknown Project - https://laughton.ca/publications/unknown-project/

I express my greatest condolences at the news of his death,

Clive Hughes

Indeed Bob, he will be mourned by many on both sides of the Atlantic for his thorough research and expertise. Someone who really will be much missed in this field.
