So sorry to read that Ray has passed away. He was a lovely man, very loyal and a real Mr Fixer. When we served in the Mortar Pl together, thanks to Ray, the platoon were wanting for nothing. My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to his family.
There are many kinds of sorrow
In this world of love and hate
But there is no sterner sorrow
Thsn a soldier’s for his mate.
