Led
I "bumped" into Smudge Smith a couple of years back in Manchester Airport, he said he was living in the Warrington area and working at Manchester Airport, haven't heard or seen him since.
Best Regards

He's been on telly - 'This is your life' - not the star of it, forget who that was.
Was his last two 27?
I shared a room with smudge in Goose Green - there was much more space when he moved upstairs - this was his way of keeping his eye on the NAAFI to catch the bandit robber - everybody knew who did it apart from smudge bless him
Yes JT it was 27 not 47 and he was my neighbour in Tern Hill he was Kelvin Proberts brother in Law, missed him on TV though, but yer what a guy should of seen him on the JNCO's Cadre in Lemgo what a scream!

I know it was 27 because Smudge is one of the faces I remember for the Pin No of one of my credit cards.
Yes, that's how I remember pin Nos - a great advantage of serving in the RWF - instead of remembering 4 numbers per card, I just have to remember two faces!
Smudge is on my business card, but now I'll have to change it won't I!!
I think Smudge was the worst speller I ever met, well, next to Barry of course!
Never forget my favourite in the incident book in Netheravon - man that book used to keep me entertained in the wee hours.........
"......... I made a furrow search of the room"
Noduff!
Yer luks Okay ti may JT ?
Bluudy x cowpony clooks?
I saw Smudge 27 at a Wrexham reunion a couple of years ago, he was just off to Afganistan mine clearing - yes i know it sounds dull, but that is smudge. He was - is, serving with a TA unit at the time and was just off to the airport the following day (sat if i can remember). Anyway, he hasnt changed a bit apart from the lack of teeth due to his age - nearing a hundred i think. He was quite chuffed at his BFT time in the TA (due to his age) at being nearly an hour. If anywere he can be found on the reunion.

its a funny old world, once upon a time we british & Americans supplied arms to Iraq to fight the war with Iran and to Afganistan to fight the Russians. know Iran is suppling weapons to Iraq. How time is a great healer (not)
Bit too heavey for me there Rik. You lost me after the word Arms!
