Because it is not actually a directions for your travels,if like that woman who crashed and did not know theexact location she used this and the police knew exactly were she crashed and which field she was in

Perhaps it could be seen as an aid to supplement other navigation sytems rather than a primary source, the more users the more it becomes useful.
