View Full Version : Help please information about Ronald Prince MM
Hi there. A relative's uncle was Ronald Prince of the RWF in World War 2. He won the Military Medal and he believes he was mentioned in despatches twice. Can anyone access the relevant database to advise where/ when he won his medal ? The only family legend was that is was in The Battle of The Bulge ? Or could this relate to late 1944. ? Any information would be great. Thanks for reading. Mark

I think he must have been Territorial William Ronald Prince 4190471. You can use this service number to check for mentions in the online database of the London Gazette. I found 2.

You can also request his service record from the MoD. See

Hope this helps.

ATB,

I checked, and he was with the 7th RWF, and the action for which he was awarded the DCM was on October 26th at s-Hertogenbosch.
If you give me an email-adress (without the @ to avoid spammers) I’ll sen you his citation.ATB,
Lars
