It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Jackie Popham, who passed away today. Jackie was the much loved wife of Ernie Popham, one of the founder members of the League of Friends.

Jackie was one of the best, i always remember her smiling face when she used to look after us in the NAAFI in Honiton, keeping us on the straight and narrow. She will be sadly missed, my deepest Syppathy to Ernie.

Myself and Tony Corbett were A Coy storemen in Iserlohn when Ernie was our CQMS, 1963 time.

Tony and I lived in barracks and Ernie would invite us to his MSQ where him and Jackie fed us and looked after us extremely well, spoiling us even with a little birthday or Christmas treat; an appreciated token when you're so far from home!!

They were a lovely couple and my deepest sympathies and those of my family are with Ernie and his family.

Friends to meet 0930hrs, 23rd March at Swansea Crematorium
Family flowers only
Donations if desired in Jackie's memory to SSAFA c/o Denise Ahern 14 Llys Cennech Llangennech SA14 8XT.

I also remember this very lovely lady in Honiton, I worked with Ernie for a few short months in 1968. My deepest sympathy to Ernie, and apologies for not seeing this earlier but have been out of touch with this system.
