View Full Version : breaking the rules
During one of my times on the bugle in berlin we had to play retreat a guard mounting on the square, after doing 100s of them it gets boring so one night i played the american last post ,2lt gethin [ramones] jones came over later and remarked how it had never sounded better, proves a point nobody except for the drums or the band can tell the difference

I remember LCPL Llewellyn "Squeegee" Blowing in Lemgo and Mouse Cooper was RSM, and if he blew a wrong note he would shout out I take one Sir!
So Yer we never had an opportunity even if we could notice, which you could be right, as I no you drummers are committed to the end!
As in Ireland whilst on patrol the Orange Marches came pass with their zany band and Camplin & Lenny alert as ever where discussing the Key that they where playing it E no its C to me it was a D for Din??? Thank god I had Baz Vale to cover me back!
