It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Colonel Henry Cadogan OBE DL died on Tuesday night at Denbigh Infirmary after a brave battle with cancer. His wife Daphne Cadogan's address, for condolence cards and messages, is as follows;

I was, for a time, Colonel Cadogan's clerk when he was Senior Major in Hong Kong. Learned an awful lot from him and held him in the greatest respect. RIP Sir.

THANKSGIVING SERVICE FOR COLONEL HENRY CADOGAN OBE DL - 30 NOVEMBER 2017
In addition to the funeral service for Colonel Henry Cadogan OBE DL at 1100hrs on Monday 20 November at St Mary and St Cynfarch Church, Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd LL15 2RJ, there will be a Thanksgiving Service on 30th November 2017 at 1400hrs at the Abbey Church in Beaulieu.

The funeral service for Col Henry Cadogan went off well with a packed church and 9 standards represented by a variety of branches and comrades from across the area. As well as a bugler and the 3rd Battalion Goat and Goat Major attending. The wake took place in the surroundings of the Vale Country Club, Ruthin. All who knew him in his various roles attested to his fine and varied life of a well loved and liked Officer/Soldier of the highest standard. RIP, Henry.
