Hi Brian,

Firstly just to explain. It's not the new RWF Museum, our regimental museum is still at Caernarfon Castle. However our extensive Reserve Collection(the stuff we don't have room to display) is stored for us(not on display), as part of a long-term loan agreement at Wrexham Musum and Archives. Its a vast collection and takes up a large area of space, that is not available at Caernarfon. As part of the loan agreement occasionally Wrexham Museum will use items from that collection for their own RWF exhibitions. Additionally, we also have some items on display at Bodelwyddan Castle. This is good news as it allows us to give the public much greater access to this important collection.

Wrexham Museum now also manage the RWF Museum Enquiry Service. They have a number of paid archivists employed by Wrexham Council, and it makes sense to use their expertise to manage our extensive document archive.
