Hello Al
I knew a Cook in the 2nd. But the 2nd laid their colours up in or about December 57.Or what is euphemistically called Placed in suspended animation.
Regards Don.

Hi Shane,
Did your dad have a brother called Ivor? If so I served with your dad in the 1st Bn in Hong Kong. We were in the Mortar Platoon.

I remember a Lcpl Arthur Cook 47, I believe a brother to Ivor.

The last time I had any contact with him was in Tidworth, early 70's, when he was the Cpl's Mess Steward - I left the Bn prior to the Lemgo posting 77, not sure what happened to him after that.

Deepest condolences to Family, Friends and fellow comrades from London Branch RWFCA.

Hi Shane and everyone whose commented. Just an update.

Arthur John Cook joined in 1959 and served in Singapore, Minden, Honiton, Hong Kong, Nothern Ireland and Tidworth. He was married to Dot Cook and had 4 children at the time. Tony, Patsy, Andrew and Marie.

He passed away leaving us will a album full of photos. We have put names to some, but there are many totally unknown to us.

If anyone has photos of my dad or my mum, we would love to see hem, and if I can share the ones we have, I will.Who knows, you may see yourselves.

Thanks

Andy
