Burma ww2 - salford men

Film footage has emerged of members of 2RWF In Burma 1944/45, sending "video" messages home to their families. All four men are from the Salford area. The badge on the slouch hats doesnt appear to be correct, but that might be a security ruse as the war was still ongoing. I replied to this on Fb and the badges are probably 29th independent infantry brigade who 2/RWF were part of.

I saw that Jerry, the badge on the hat though looks like the Lancashire Red Rose.

I looked at three of them and all seemed to have a white/pale circle on a darker background!

Maybe I need to get my eyes checked?

When I freeze the vids, I can make out the petals.(I think)

All four men are from the Second Battalion of the Royal Welch Fusiliers and were awarded the ribbon of the 1939 – 43 star on the 17th April 1944 in the Arakan region of Burma.
