A new member has just joined, DaisyHope! Thank you for joining

On behalf of the Administrators, Moderators and all members welcome to the Royal Welch Forum, which is funded entirely from voluntary donations from the membership.

By joining our community you will have access to post topics, communicate privately with other members (PM), respond to polls, upload content and access many other special features

If you want to have the chance to win the lottery you can join the other members of the Forum Lottery Syndicate where, for £2.00 per week, you have numerous chances of winning. As the syndicate membership increases so do the number of chances there are of winning.

If you have any problems, either create a thread or send a private message to a Moderator.

Finally, we would be grateful if you would take a moment and introduce yourself to the Royal Welch community in the Introduce Yourself forum. Just share a bit about yourself. For instance, whether or not you are you/were a serving member of the Regiment or Armed Forces, what your occupation is now and how you plan to use the site.

Once again welcome to the forum.

Thanks DaisyHope, from the staff at Royal Welch Forum

Hello and thank you for the warm welcome.

I am a volunteer researcher for www.flintshirewarmemorials.com (http://www.flintshirewarmemorials.com) and I am also a regional volunteer for the www.warmemorials.org (http://www.warmemorials.org) in North Wales. I hope to be monitoring the condition of memorials in our area so please get in touch should you be concerned about a local memorial and I would love to see what I can do to help preserve these precious memorials.

I am a full time nurse and I run my own vintage business Daisy Hope. I tweet as @daisyhopeparty

I have an interest in the RWF being a Wrexham girl and I am researching RWF soldiers on the memorials to try to tell their stories so that they are not just names on stones.

I don't pretend to be an expert, I am learning as I go and I have met some very interesting and helpful people in the RWF and WW1 field already. Loving it :-) I always welcome help and advice when it is offered.

Who knows maybe I will be able to give up nursing after 20 years service and find a dream job doing what I love.

Please excuse any blunders whilst I learn how to navigate around the forum.

Thanks again,

Claire aka Daisy Hope :-)

A warm welcome Claire and nice to meet you at Caernarfon Castle last weekend.

I've moved the thread onto here, as I suspect most of the people you will connect with in relation to your interest, tend to look here daily.

Look forward to your input
