upload photos

I have tried to upload some photos of mainly b coy hong kong lent to me by Robert murphy ex 4plt before he along with some other guys transferred to the hampshires in 71-72 now on my laptop scanned photos are in pdf do and how do I change from pdf to some thing else if I need to thank you :unsure:
