Any chance of some assistance from members with the entries relating to the Malaya Killed. The initial ones I intend to complete for The Fallen are:

Capt JMB Davies Fus J Evans and Pte DJ Durham RAPC

Killed on the 13th October 1955

I have Regimental Records so I can obtain some detail from that. I also know where they are buried.

What I'm looking for are obituaries and detail from Ddraig Goch, and any anecdotes and memories from members who were serving there.

Any individual detail on any of the 3 guys would be very much appreciated, just pass it to me via email or personal message. I will then put it all together so that each soldier has a piece in the Fallen written about them.

Thanks

Another appeal for assistance with completing the personal write ups for each of the men below. Any details members can provide, other than what is already listed in Vol 6 of Regimental Records would be gratefully received. If you knew any of the men who died drop me an email or personal message. Also any photos etec would be appreciated.

The Northern Ireland deaths are nearly complete. I just require more detail on Lcpl Coughlan. Dutch(Terry) Holland has located his grave in Newport, what I now need is a personal view of him, was he a sportsman? which company did he serve with in the Bn, who were his mates? anything like that please.

At the bottom of this list is Sgt Foulkes, no mention of him in Regi Records. Can anyone give me details of him?

If you can spare a few moments to assist, it will be a job well done.

Hi Al
I've got quite a few members that served in Malaya. The only problem is I will not see them until the end of January 2007 I will however try and put a message in our next newsletter due to go out between Xmas and New Year asking for help on this one for you.

Al,
Ref Cpl Humpries MM it was established that he was burried in Mold cemerty, but thats realy as far as it went, we didnt really get to the bottom of how he was killed in cyprus, think it was a land mine or something, cant seem to find the thread that was used to find out about him.

You are not wrong about Cpl H MM he is buried in Mold Cemetary and my mother in law recalls himbeing blown up in Cyprus and there wasn't much of him repatriated back to Mold so the story goes.
