It is with great sadness that i report to the Forum that i have received the following:
On behalf of Mrs Jilly Clarke it is with deep regret that I must inform you that Dick, Colonel Richard Warwick Clarke (late The Royal Welch Fusiliers), died peacefully at home in Chetnole, Dorset, at 1015 hours this morning after a very long illness over eight years caused by cancer. Jilly and their children, Lucy and Will, were with him.
He will be buried at the village church at Chetnole at the end of February. It will be a family/village funeral - family flowers only with donations to Marie Cure or Wellmar. The family intend the hold a thanksgiving service to celebrate Dick's life in the Spring.
Rest in Peace Sir
