It is with great sadness that I have to announce the sudden death on Sunday of Viv Ellis the wife of Merv.

Oh dear, I didn't want this news to be true!

Merv, I want to convey my sincere sympathy on the loss of Viv. I don't think I can fully comprehend what a profound loss that is. I know that you both had a strong and loving relationship.

My wife and yours were such good friends. As you know, they did so much together and enjoyed each other’s company immensely, as did the children.

Your wife was one of those people who do so much for others and never expecting anything in return. She was always volunteering and heading up one project after another without any signs of growing weary. I will always remember her for her stamina and determination.

I know that you will have the strength to get through this very sad and difficult time. If I can be of any help, do not hesitate to call upon me.

Any dates of Viv's funeral arrangements as yet?

The Funeral for Viv Ellis will take place at 1500hrs on Thurs 30th Jan at Pentrebychan crematorium near Wrexham. Merv is bearing up but his computer has a virus so he is unable to communicate with anyone.

I have fond memories of Viv, Merv & the girls when they lived in the flat next door in Berlin, although I think Viv may have had a different view, well it was certainly a different view the day she knocked on our door one St David's Day evening asking to speak to Ev, I answered the door Stark B*****K Naked & with out batting an eyelid I informed her that Ev was out I then exchanged pleasantries & shut the door..Ev was not happy when she found out !! I think must had a few ports in the Mess that day.
