The 2nd Bn the Royal Welsh will be Reaffirming the Freedom of the Vale of Glamorgan in Penarth on Saturday 9 November 2013 in Penarth. The Parade will step off from the Police Station on Windsor Road at 11.00 hrs. The Colonel of the Regiment, Brigadier Philip Napier OBE will take the Salute with the Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Duncan Cantlay DL at the junction of Glebe St and Windsor Road. This will be the last time the 2nd Bn will carry out a Freedom Parade with the impending merger with the 1st Bn on 1 Apr 2014.
