Hello Benny,
I know of one man definitely from the Welsh Regiment who served in Korea Sjt S F D Masters he came to the 2nd Battalion R W F from the Welsh Regiment. Another was Major Byrde who was Killed in action on the 20/1/1955 whilst on secondment with 2 R W F and he was awarded a posthumous M i D. You may need to check up on Major Byrde as I am going from memory.

Hello Benny,
I do try to avoid ambiguity but in my reply to your thread I must inform you that Sjt Masters was not killed in action but he did serve in the Welsh in Korea. But to the best of my knowledge he died after leaving the army. When I go to Cardiff for Armed forces day, I will ask around my many friends who are ex Welsh and try to glean some info for you.
Regards R B D
