I am so sorry to report the passing of Marion Jones, the late wife of Wally Jones 15.
Marion passed away peacefully last night at home on Monday April 29, 2013, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Wally, my deepest sympathy for your loss. She was a wonderful person and a joy to know. I know you had a great marriage and loved her so much. I share your grief at this very difficult time.
Both Barbara and I enjoyed her company on so many occasions and everyone always spoke of her in the highest regard. We always commented on how gracious and helpful she was to everyone and how she shunned any praise for what she just did naturally.
Your wife was one of those people who do so much for others and never expecting anything in return. I will always remember her for her stamina, determination and humour
I know that you will have the strength to get through this very sad and difficult time. If I can be of any help, do not hesitate to call upon me. Please extend our sympathy to your wonderful family.
So sorry to hear about Marian My condolences to Wally and family. 70

Oh Dear, having arrived home earlier from attending the funeral of William 'Bill' Haynes, imagine my sadness when logging on only to discover the very sad news of the passing of Wally 15's wife Marion.
I first met Marion when my wife and I (Vern) moved into our first Married Quarter (Flats in Minden) in 1964 - Marion was the experienced Army wife and her advice and guidance to the new and novice Army Wife was invaluable. Wally and Marion were exceptionally good company when we had a party or two in the flats - Marion would always warn Wally to "dispense with your rank you're at home with your neighbours now not in camp." He was a Cpl then and I was Fusilier, both in A Coy.
For Wally, I really feel for you mate and for once, words are failing me - I will write to you personally and in addition to all the offers of help and assistance abundent on this thread, if you need any help and if there is anything I can do for you, please give me a shout.
