It is with great sadness that today Sox lost his battle with cancer,
Sox my mate from when i joined and left the army and after i will never forget you buddy,you fought a tough battle to the end mate,you bring back so many great memories and the time we had together will be cherrished until we meet again,
My heart goes out to all your family at this very sad time RIP buddy love you always x

So so sorry to hear this sad news. Sox was a fine soldier and in particular an inspiration to many young fusiliers. This terrible disease is no respecter of persons and it seems so unjust that Sox should have suffered from it. They say the good die young and here is yet more proof. Sox will be sorely missed. devastating news, sox was my section commander in berlin in A COY before i went to 10 platoon D.COY in berlin as a sprog, what a top bloke, he guided me through my fathers death as a young fusilier of 20 and new to the battalion my heart thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Remembering all the good times we had in Warmister/Tern Hill days - so sad to hear of his passing - top bloke - last time I saw him was "Rememberance Sunday" last year - ironic really

We have now received the details of Sox's funeral. It will take place on Friday 10 August at St Johns Catholic Church, New Zealand Road, Gabalfa, Cardiff CF14 3BR at 1pm, followed by interment in Cathays Cemetery at 2.30. Refreshments will be available in the Sgts mess, Maindy Barracks at 3.
Does anyone know what the order of dress will be....

Does anyone know what the order of dress will be.... I would probably go for regimental tie Dai, unless the family specify differently.
We have just been told that Sox will be buried in Pantmawr Cemetery CF14 7YE (not Cathays Cemetery, which is closed) - sorry for any confusion
