It is with deep regret that I have to inform fellow comrades that Mike has left us for that Great Parade Ground above. He bravely fought that evil disease Cancer but lost his battle about 7days ago. I have only managed to confirm these details today and if anyone can make it his funeral is tomorrow Monday at 1-20pm at Llwydcoed Crematorium between Aberdare and Merthyr.
Sleep tight friend.

Hi all,
I attended Mike Chandlers Funeral on Monday at the Llwydcoed Crematorium and later in the Workingmen Club Mountain Ash along with about a dozen Comrades and it was a well turned out ceremony. The Mountain Ash Branch Standard was on display in the Crematorium and it was a good service if not a somber one. He was well represented by the MT and Band but I was the only member of the signals Platoon there a bit disappointing. He had a good send off now may he rest in peace.

I was there as an ex Signal Platoon member, though did not serve with you or when Mike were in the Platoon. Though I also joined the same time as Mike.
