Hi everyone.
I'm after some help again. I've booked myself on a CP cse and have received my joining instructions. They've given me a bit of a problem. As I haven't done any CP work yet or any training I'm not sure how to do this. The biggest problem I have is actually finding an incident to write about. Below is what I need help with. I only have 3 weeks before the cse starts.

Control Risks Tasking Sheet – Level 3 Edexcel Close Protection Award.‘Notable Close Protection Incident’
Activity ‐ Project: Notable Close Protection Incident ‐ Report and presentation.Learning outcome ‐14As part of your pre‐course work you are to prepare a word .doc report andPowerPoint presentation on a ‘Notable Close Protection Incident’. You shouldgive recommendations on how the incident may have been avoided, suggestingany enhancements to the security already in place, and what lessons may havebeen learned. If the incident was a success for the Close Protection team, explain why this wasthe case.Use the internet and any resources available to research your incident. ThePowerPoint presentation should have a maximum 10 slides and the word.docshould consist of approximately 1500 words (font calibri 12)

Couple of suggestions for incidents Dave:

1. The death of Princess Di.
2. The Egging of John Prescott.

Have a look at these:

Dave,
Lord mountbatten death 27 aug 1979,should give you plenty to report on,how the boat had the bomb on,pattern of life study, routine etc high profile royal plenty of news reported, you can google and then import the news reports etc to a powerpoint presentation of how it could have been avoided and any lessons learnt.
Hope it helps
