I have been led to believe that my grandfather served in the RWF during WW1.
I have found a Medal card and Silver War Badge record for a person I think is him but I cannot find any service history to match.
Is it possible that anyone can find out the address of this person on enlistment so I can confirm whether it is my grandfather ?
Private 72780 Arthur Bailey
Enlisted 26th October 1916 - Discharged 6th February 1918. Aged 30 on discharge.
Served in 13th Btn RWF.
The discharge shows A.O 265/17 Para 2 B (i) which fits with him having lost his arm in battle.
My Arthur was born 18th January 1888 in Norfolk.
Is it possible to find if this is the correct record for Arthur ?
If it is - is it possible to say where he might have been when he sustained his injury ?
Any help or guidance would be gratefully received.
