I caught the end of tonight's programme, Some of the wives were talking about their experiences since joining the choir etc, in the background you can clearly see a Royal Welchman, anyone put a name to the gentleman. You can view it fully on BBC2 tomorrow night Tues 22nd at 11.30pm, sorry that should be 2330hrs. (It was filmed at the Albert Hall during The Festival of remembrance). I suppose it may be on the BBC i player ?
I watched the programme and thought it very good.Sometimes I think we forget how hard it was for our wives/partners left behind while we were on OP's.Having to bring up a family, keep house, cope with the kids etc coupled with all the anxiety.I think the support they have these days for those in MSQ's is excellant but for those who live in their own homes away from the Regimental support it must be very difficult.

I believe the Royal Welshman is a member of the Army Cadet Force. I know of no one who was their in an official capacity from either the 1st or 2nd Battalion.

I thought it was a great series. Gareth Malone set the right tone and he seemed to pick up very quickly what the ladies were going through. Programmes like that are worth the licence fee. A very impressive group of ladies.

I will look again tonight, he was an older gentleman dressed in a blazer with the badge & he wore a regimental tie I don;t think he was there in any official way, he was just standing there by the stairs, thought someone might put a name to the face.
