Had an e-mail on friends re-united from a Fusilier Gareth Bellringer,states with 3rd Battalion Royal Welsh.Looking for his father Derek,last heard of just prior to Bn going to Ireland 1970,s ??
Told him to join forum where he may get some help,and I would put a request on for him.States DEREK was a Cpl on release from Regiment.ANY OFFERS?

I would think that name would be easy for the guys from that era to remember. If we can get a location then 192.com will be the next stage.

If this is the same person who I knew, he was an ex Jnr from Rhyl and joined Bn and went into Sigs Pln.

hello.. im gareth, dereks son.. yer as far as i know he was in between 1965 and 1974 and he had been to hong kong and ireland. currently i am in 3rd bn royal welch in D coy up in colwyn bay.. but my platoon is in caernarfon. thanks for all the help guys

I may be wrong but I think he was in B Coy 5 plt in Erskine Camp in Hong Kong and later in BCoy in Londonderry, hope this is of help.

If he was a member of the british leigion, would they have his details on a database? and would they give that sort of information out? its probably a long shot. ive had a look on the interweb at the town where his adress is and it looks like quite a small village.. mum had a look on google, and reckons she has found where he works.. a firm called multiplex construction uk ltd, he is the senior h+s manager for the white city development.

quick update. ive got a phone number for him, and have called and spoken to his partner. he should be ringing me back tomorrow, but i will wait out on that one. im not sure he was ever anygood at keeping his word.
