Guys.
Me and the mrs were in Cardiff for the rugby.
what a great night was had by all.
the royal welsh were all over the guards...19 to 10 win..
the stadium well.got to go back..
met up with a couple of comrades i had not seen for over 30 year.
had a crawl around the pubs, great atmosphere and location.
we stayed at the Ibis hotel,£51 a night and a 5 min walk to the city centre.
though no parking there was a pay and display 3 mins walk £5 for 24 hrs.
and they will give a discount for larger bookings.
a venue worth looking at for our reunion next year..

Hello Chow,
Good news you are allowing time for the Alphas to consider a new venue. Exercise some care as to what is buzzing in Cardiff when you plan a final date (or else where for that matter) Cardiff can be quite busy especially the Millennium Stadium.watch you do not clash with an important sports event.Good luck to all "Alphas"You might well try googling Etap hotels in Cardiff they are quite reasonable and about a 10 minute walk from the city centre.

Hi Richard.
Thanks for the heads up with regard to up and coming events in cardiff.

Hi every one.
Today i talked with Tony Lewis at the United Services Club in Cardiff,
he tells me that they are able to accommodate us for our reunion.
they have there own chef and can do most foods.
A typical buffet starts at £6 and they only require minimal notice.
so i have pre booked the lounge bar,it holds approximately 35/40.
the club is not open on Saturdays so we wont be disturbed by any one.
so please put down in your diaries. Saturday the 5th of May 2012.. IN CARDIFF....
now all i need is numbers, wives are welcome of course as are friends and family.
there are numerous hotels close to the centre of Cardiff, check out the web site.
http://www.visitcardiff.com/
it also tells what might be going off in the city that weekend .
cheers for now.get your names in please, though plenty of time yet..

the 'big sleep hotel' just behind cardiff central is reasonable
