SPARKLERS
edited by Mavis Donner

IBSN-10: 90-810616-1-5
or 13: 978-90-810616-1-2

This book has absolutely nothing to do with military history! "Sparklers" is a little anthology of short stories and fiction published by Webster University. “Sparklers” presents a cross-section of genres. For example, there are experiential stories based on real-life events, such as Sharon Williams’ "One Summer.

So the main reason for the inclusion of this book is that two of them are written by one of our members "Sharon".

For those members who don't know her, she is the poor soul who is married to Patty Williams 43, lives in Holland and is a sort of cross between Marge Simpson and Catherine Tate( I aint Bovvered). She has however been bothering us in the RWF Forum and generally being a nuisance for quite a few years now, and me and Bob have grown fond of the old girlSmile

Anyway, if you want to help stop the the dutch equivalent of the tallyman, making off with all her worldly goods and her children being taken into care, buy the bookWink

I have tried to locate the book, but to no avail. I wrote to Mavis Donner and she informs me she got a similar query from two other people from England, (forum members?) yesterday.

Anyway, her reply is shown below:

"Your message was forwarded to me. I got a similar query yesterday from two people in England concerning the purchase of "Sparklers" and have contacted the American Book Center of the Hague about it.

Apparently, they forgot to list it on their webpage and would see to it soon. I hope it'll be there today or tomorrow. In any case, here's the ISBN numbers:

10:90-810616-1-5
13:978-90-81016-1-2

If you wish to call the store to make your order, here's their telephone number. Tel. (American Book Center, The Hague): 070-3642742

Let me know if you still have a problem getting it.

Best regards,

Mavis Donner"

Gosh Al, thanks for your "kind" words...Wink
Glad you enjoyed the book though, some of the stuff in there is pretty good.
Bob, did you manage to get a copy yet? If Mavis is on the case it should be a done deal, she's about 4ft4 with the tenacity of a rottweiler, brilliant woman!
