To all Comrades Branch Secretaries from Bob Doak

I am sorry to tell you all that John Perry of the Crickhowell & District Branch ( formerly the Brecon & Blaenavon Branch ) died last night after a short illness – he collapsed whist collecting poppies for our local RBL Branch in early November 2010. John served in 1RWF from 1958 – 62. Many people will remember him from the Removals Firm of Perry Bros, the firm that moved the Battalion from Lemgo in 1982. Funeral details will be circulated when known.

This is a real blow to our Branch, coming straight after the news about Bill Street.

John's Funeral takes place at St Edmunds Church, Crickhowell on Friday 11th February at 1200hrs.
