Major R V Williams (Ron)

It is with great sadness that I must advise that Major (Retired) Ron Williams passed away on Sunday 12 December 2010 at the age of 83 at Neath Hospital.

Ron was commissioned into the Welch Regiment, having been its Regimental Sergeant Major and saw service with the Welch, the South Wales Borderers, the Royal Welch Fusiliers, the Depot Crickhowell and The Royal Regiment of Wales – thus has a true member of the Regiment and its antecedents.

His funeral will take place at Margam Crematorium on Tuesday 21 December 2010 at 1400 hrs. Donations if so desired to The Royal National Institute for the Blind.
