John raises a valid point regarding the layout of Forum threads and statistics that appear to the left of the User Profile. There isn't, however, any suggested alternative regarding enhancement.

Constructive criticism is paramount for the betterment of the Forum and most welcomed. "Knit Picking", however, is not considered constructive and is most unwelcomed!

Most programs come as packages and can't be divorced from each other - the package salvaged by Bob Bacon after the previous one crashed is an example!

Indeed, the Forum that Users enjoy today is the result of Bob's unselfish committment to the recovery of the Forum, in addition to his family life and civil employment.

If Users do have any suggestions regarding enhancing the Forum, please consult the Technical Advisors. Additionally, should you need to get in touch, it wouldn't be a bad idea to pass on your thanks for the continual "Smooth Running" of the Forum.

Indeed you are correct Gerry, without Bob,s hard work behind the scenes re-constructing the Forum after the infection/crash, the dedicated hours of finding, installing and up-grading all the applications and plug-ins and as Gerry says, some applications come as a package, then i am more than certain that we would not have only a bare basic Forum, but one at all

I am quit sure if the Forum lay-out was not as good as it is now, then there would be complaints

vBActivity is a modification designed to allow members to keep track of their activity. Members get rewarded for creating content which is popular; they gain points for every post in a thread they create, points for high thread ratings, for having a good reputation, voting, referrals etc.

This was done to encourage activity and reward members for it. It also allows members to show off their Activities, Trophies, Achievements and Medals in their postbit (left-hand column)

A reminder to members that we do have an activity and awards system on the forum was posted here (http://www.rwf-forum.co.uk/vBulletin/showthread.php?11907-Activity-and-Awards&highlight=vbactivity)

As we have been running this system for several months now, I'm surprised that you have only just noticed it or chosen now to express your dissatisfaction with the layout!

If you don't like the stats in the left-hand column you can disable them by using your Activities Settings Menu. Click here (http://www.rwf-forum.co.uk/vBulletin/profile.php?do=dbtech_vbactivity_options).

NB: This will not stop Trophies, Achievements and Medals being shown

Not dissatisfied, haven't just noticed it, appreciate the hard work. Didn't post in the sound off forum, just an observation that there are a lot of bells & whistles that are of no
use at all to me personally and am wondering if anyone actually used them in any way, in posts, in their profiles or in the profiles of others...... like the date you made your tenth post etc - is that any use to anyone?

Apols if this is seen as nit-picking.
