All it is with saddness that i post this.

Fus Cosgrove (Cossy) from the Regimental Pioneers has sadly passed away today 21 08 10 at hospital in NI following a short stay in hospital after a stroke

lorraine is currenly in his village as her mother lives there and will pass on our condolences and place some flowers at the service with a small message from all RWF/R Welsh past and present i will post more information on this site with reguards to the funeral and service.

Those of you who remember Cossy will remember him as one of the most gentlest people that you would ever meet and i certainly remember working with him as i was to young to go on patrol he will be sadley missed by all in Ballynahinch his friends and his family.....

I have further been informed that on Fri Cossie suffered from a stroke and was taken to hospital where he was to pass away from a brain hemoraghe the following day

Cossie was 46 years of age and lived happily in Ballynahinch since leaving the army with his wife Elain and Son he was as always was an ever loving and happy character as most of us will remember him.

Lorraine (who is at home) informes me that Cossie has been laid to rest today at lunch time she has forwarded to Elain the condolences and thoughts from all members 1 RWF / R Welsh past and present i will attempt to print this thread if avail and forward these onto Elain and her son.

He was great character in 1RWF. Truly a guy who had no enemies. Known to all ranks as "Cossie" He started off in Alphas in Lemgo, then finally found a niche for himself in the Regimental Pioneers. Its very sad news. I'm certain the guys living in the province will want to know the funeral details. My deepest condolences to his family.
