I received a letter today what appears to be from the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency, titled Club Together.
I was wondering if this letter is geniue and has any other veterans received one. Its asking to filling a questionare and you could get up to 20% boost on your pension.
would like your views/comments on this as it sounds "dodgy" to me. There is no telephone number to ring.

Yes Ian I got one and thought the same as you (dodgy or not) anything that offers something for nothing usually gets my bells ringing. I tried looking it up on the Service personnel and vets site but could find no reference to it there so for now I am ignoring it until a learned comrade puts us right on the matter.

Sounds Dodgey to me! I'm sure Pensions will have been incontact long before now with offical letter heads etc to inform everyone that SPVA were offering something extra.
Ring the Vet's Agency they will put you straight I'm sure.

I bet someone out there who knows you two guys said "Here's a couple of likely lads that we should be able to con real easy" huh! they obviously have not tried to get you to pay for a round of drinks. However, Ian and Gwyn, you can send me 20% to boost my pension if you like.
Thanks
Dilwyn

Interesting to see Mike Lusby promoting the site on the Why Club Together? page - Mike just happens to be the Market Development Director for Xafinity(http://www.nhsrf.org.uk/NewsletterJuly2008.pdf), which is why he's using SPVA Veterans to contact you - is this sort of disclosure of members details entirely legal?!"

Like Gwyn said, 'you don't get something for nothing'. Well dodgy, stay well clear.
Michelle still has contacts with the SPVA, I will ask her to check with them.
This is too good to be true need i say anymore
