To all RWF Comrades - On the 8th November 2009 we had the privilege and honour of attending the unveiling of the British Cyprus Memorial - in Kyrenia - to commemorate the 371 servicemen who died on active service. Some 500 people attended a very moving service and to pay tribute to our lost comrades. Many battalions carried wreaths to honour their dead but sadly no one laid a wreath on behalf of the RWF. On the 11-11-2009 we re-visited the memorials accompanied by our wives and took it upon ourselves to honour our fallen. CPL Humphreys MM. and Fusilier Uphill. We picked some local flowers and arranged three crosses around them, not much really for two young men who fell at the hands of the EOKA terrorists.
