You all will recall that we celebrated Owen 100th birthday at the beginning of the month.

I have just been informed that he passed away last night.

His son says he has had a good innings and thanks everyone for making his birthday one to remember.

I will pass on any further details when I get them.

Another Fusilier joins the others for a reunion in the sky.

A sad loss at this time of the year but as his son say's a great innings and he leaves with happy memories of his last birthday, so well done to all involved.

Owen's 100th Birthday celebration was a magnificent milestone for him personally and for any Royal Welchman, so it is with deep sadness that we hear of his passing to that great parade ground above.

Deepest sympathy to Owen's family. Surviving WW2 as an infantryman and reaching 100 was a fantastic achievement. Well done to you as well Dai. I'm certain your efforts on the occasion of his birthday were greatly appreciated by Owen and his family.

What a wonderfull life Owen must have had. God bless him and well done to Dai for all he did for him. RIP.
